Our Story
Founded in Paddington in 1986, The Family Jewels has always focused on only bringing the finest collection of designer jewellery to our clients. Our range is vast but all our pieces adhere to 3 strict rules: Bold expression, thoughtful design and quality craftmanship.
As a family business, we have a dedication is quality customer service. All of our staff are highly experienced fashion professionals that understand our products and how they should be worn. Our clients can always rely on our staff to be attentive and helpful when they are in store or shopping online.
The Founder
Founder Kate Dagher had her early training and design experience working in textile design and the visual arts. After apprenticing with landmark Sydney designer Florence Broadhurst she worked in design in London before coming home to pursue a successful career in the performing arts for several years. With the birth of her son, Kate’s interests moved towards wearable art. She found her passion integrating flamboyant design into pieces her clients wear to this day expressing themselves in a unique way. “I always followed fashions but wanted to be bolder and more personally expressive than just to be one of the crowd. My designs are for people to boldly express who they are"
