Turquoise Necklace

The birth stone of December, Turquoise has been mined for at least five thousand years being prized by both the ancient Egyptians and Persians. Turquoise has been known by over a dozen names throughout its history. It's contemporary name being taken from the Old French word for "Turkish", after the culture that made the stone popular in Europe.
